Hello everyone, owned my Toyota for almost 12 years and only just discovered this group. I have a 2004 Yaris Verso T-spirit which I love but toying with the idea of a younger vehicle and maybe another model. What Toyota do you recommend for a family car?

Hi Diane, welcome lots of good advice when you need it and always welcome when you give it. Well I am biased as I own a Auris 1.2T.😂

Hi Diane. Welcome. It does depend on what you want from a family car, and how old the children in the family are.

The new Corollas are quite fun :naughty:

You'd want the estate (or 'Touring Sport') version if actual humans are going to be seated in the back regularly tho', as the normal version is a little bit compromised in the back seats.

It's considerably longer than your Yaris Verso (A rare car!) but there aren't many new cars that have comparable space for such a small car!

If you want something that's still small, the new AygoX or a Yaris Mk2 are similarly sized, with the AygoX having the edge in tech, while the Mk2 has the edge in interior space and flexibility.

If you want something fun to drive and unbelievably frugal, the Mk4 Yaris can't be beaten :naughty:  (Although not recommended for regular or long distance rear-passenger use! Unless they are children, dwarves, gnomes, have no legs, or the driver and front passenger are quite short  )
