Any suggestions of what can be added to make my 2006 look nice? I will add a rev counter, but is there anything g else worth doing? I use it as work vehicle as I am in Sales

Lee, difficult to advise without knowing a lot more. At 17 years old your car will be worth little and a £25 rev counter won't add a penny value.

I don't know the condition of your car but elbow grease is free and properly applied car make it look good at little cost.

We once bought an old VW Polo.  It was yellow and the paintwork was uniformly dull.  The garage selling it gave it a polish and it looked like new.

A thorough valeting,  shampoo the seats, maybe a chrome exhaust pipe end, and don't forget the engine and inside the boot.

 New luxury mats too.

My first car just had rubber mats.   I got some carpet offcuts and fitted carpets front, rear, and boot.  Looked good and made it quieter too.

That Polo didn't have a flat floor.  I levelled it with wood and carpeted that too.

Pizza delivery or Just eat 😆

Passenger side door pin, is a worth while upgrade

Don't forget you need business use on your insurance, most standard polices only cover you for travel to/from a fixed place of employment

Loads of mods that can be done to Mk1s, few that spring to mind add passenger side door courtesy switch, glovebox lid, colour code interior dash/door parts, if stock stereo add rear Speakers. These are fairly cheap and easy to do, but just raise the level a little on what was a very basic cheap car.
