2010 Rav4 Drivers window switch too sensitive

Hi all, previously more on the Yaris forum but sadly sold my t sport recently.

Anyway, does anyone else have this issue with the drivers side window switch insofar as it either wants to put the window fully up or fully down and takes a deft flick to try and pulse it slightly! Passenger side is fine. I'm assuming the switch contacts may be bridging slightly, but if not, any suggestion

Thanks

I guess you need to update your profile ... ?

IIRC the driver's side has automatic open / close while the passenger side does not - so the passenger side window moves for only as long as your finger is on the switch.

For the driver's side a short press and release fully opens or closes the window. A longer press and release moves the window for only as long as your finger is on the switch.

I used to have the inverse issue - I would leave my finger on the switch for just a tad too long and the window would stop when I didn't want it to ...

But all of this is relying on a slightly dodgy memory! 😉

Hello Hasan,my Tsport is like that,as were my previous cars with electric windows.

I know you're in a rav now, but are you sure this isn't normal?

Hi Paul, you could be right, but as Philip suggested above i've probably been using it incorrectly, assuming that a short pull will move it for just that duration.

I think the t-sport has a further pull and push position to fully open or fully close doesn't it?   My wife's 2003 corolla has that.  But i could be mistaken about the rav & t sport.
