Yaris mk1 2005 steering wheel controls

Hi to everybody!its my first post ,I found helpful topics in the past and  become a member

I installed an android unit ,it works fine except the steering wheel controls.there is one cable,the one on the third picture doesn't fit to the unit mabe is that?

  I will appreciate any help

You have to wire Key1, Key2 and ground to the controller/trip above the radio, the 12 pin isn't used

8 pin connector

6 (GND), 7 (SW1) and 8 (SW2)

 

no extra adapters required, wire it up and teach the unit the controls

I guess I have to find another cable because there is no key1,key2 at the cable the unit came with.and the car cable is not 16 pin,it has one ten pin,one six pin.that will be hard to find I think

Coming off the new radio is a 28 pin connector with 3 wires, these are for the steering wheel control

This is the socket view or wire side of the plug

21 - SW1

22 - SW2

23 - SW ground

on your radio, they are

SW1 - Black

SW2 -Brown

SW Ground - white with black stripe

 

you need to connect these 3 wires to the factory display/trip above the heater controls
