But my Yaris insurance went 👇. It seems to effect different cars differently. I think there are different reasons like inflation, leaving EU and parts harder to find. So basically you have to go to confused.com get the cheapest quote, you may get a cheaper deal using excess at £500, before £350 would give a cheaper deal. Then you ring your insurer and try to get a cheaper quote.

Policies have risen by anything up to 40%, if you have it on direct debit, APR is between 20-39.9% on top

We are often told that the insurance costs has risen due to the algorithm and the amount of reported accidents within areas. is this is the case then can we ask for a copy to see if this is actually true. I suspect not but when you increase your drivers excess it decreases the premium, but how much is reasonable without ending up paying a fortune if you are unlucky to have an accident.

Insurance is getting dearer year on year. The only thing that goes down is the money in your account.

And the ULEZ charges don't help either. Is it a case of the Government making it so expensive for car owners that only the wealthy few can afford to drive. The public transport system out our way is useless.

If I need to work in London, I currently drive 30 minutes to the station and park up before catching a train to the Khaaaaan money pit. If I do the same trip via a bus, it is almost double the time. The cost is immaterial to me as I claim this back from work. My time is precious to me.

Plebs shouldn't own a car. Unfortunately, UK's 'elites' got stuck in 19th century.

I totally agree. I myself, am one of those entitled snowflakes who are allowed to do what they want without any reprisals because it may affect my human rights  😁😁😁
