I'm looking at getting a roof box, but unsure what to get. Looking at the Hapro traxer 6.6, with Cruz aluminium bars but trying to work out if the boot will still be able to open fully, due to the fixed points on the rails.

Does anyone have this roofbox or have any other recommendations

I would always check out the Roofbox Company, www.roofbox.co.uk, for suggestions. If they sell this model they may be able to advise you on how much fore/aft adjustment the fittings on the box will allow.

I would be surprised if you couldn't mount the box far enough forward to allow the boot to open.

I can recommend www.roofbox.co.uk as well, got a few things from them (roofbox, cycle rack etc).

Mine's a Thule Pacific 200 which I'm very happy with.  Not the absolute biggest but not the smallest either, a nice balance for the car I think.

Not heard of the Harpo Traxer, but hope you got sorted out in the end.

In terms of opening the boot, the Pacific has a slot allowing you quite a lot of movement back and forward, I'm guessing most do.

Thule boxes are pretty practical and last a long long time.
im using a 1991 Thule weekender i bought on eBay for £25 , in 2005. still using it 18 years later…

treat yourself to a standard Thule mount for your car that can support aero bars ( again a standard around for a very long time ) then the world of roof boxes is your oyster both old and new…
