Hi... I am hopefully getting mine next week. So they are saying it will be a software update that all cars will get or only new ones built?

if your car support digital key, just active it in MyToyota app Connected Service Centre, now only wait them to rollout, they hope within this year.....

Can you tell me how long it takes from when the notification about the start of the production in the app until it is finished?

Toyota say it's 15 hours to actually build the car. Typically it's been 24 hours or so from start to finish and then turns up at the dealer in a day or two. I've missed twice but OH is awaiting her Yaris which went from production to in transit without her seeing either 😂

So you are telling me I should be selling my car shortly, since I'm not in UK I guess I have still some time but not as much as I thought. ..

Ahhh bear in mind that was based on UK build and delivery to UK mainland. Build time should be same but actual update to "in transit" and arrival wherever you or your dealer is will vary.

Sure thing. But I was told the production is scheduled for end of April. So we are potentially 1,5 month ahead. Which is great, and since I'm in Poland I will have enough time to sell my Honda, so I actually hope the app is correct!

I was originally told end of March but it arrived mid February... Same sort of early  time frame like you. Unfortunately there have been some "challenges" and I am back to waiting.

Well it took two days but the car is in the transport. Which will take more than in UK, because it is UK-Belgium-Germany- main stock in Poland and only then dealership;)

I have picked up the car  a week ago. We are very happy with it so far. I am amazed how well engine & gearbox work. So smooth. Big change after driving a manual for the whole life. But it is not just automatic vs manual obviously. I haven't checked how it is on a motorway but I think it will be ok.

Wireless android auto was a nice surprise.

And I can confirm two big boxer dogs fit in the boot with a big suitcase;)

But whoever decided RCA should turn on every time you start the car should be prosecuted. And Toyota should have made it easy to mute by arranging settings so that RCA and mute is the first thing selected by pushing ok button couple if times.

Oh and the car is rather loud, you can hear the tyres, so I will have to do something about that.

I like the colour!

You have found all usual findings by new owners.

The annoying beeps: that's how Toyota decided to comply with the new European car safety regulations. I think everybody here agrees they should just make a single big red button that says "SAFETY OFF"!

Road noise: check tyre pressure first. If that's correct you may try a different tyre brand/model, or wait for tyres to wear out a bit.

Enjoy your nice car!

That green is nice!

About tires, if you have the falken tires fitted they are notorious for being noisy (and just being crap in general). A lot of members on hear have changed them to better quality tires and have reported a big difference in noise levels, which is good as rest of the car is quite quiet.

I've still to change my tires, but as we're heading into summer I'm going to keep running them and hopefully change them out for the winter.

Well replacing new tires was not something I have anticipated. Although I was a bit concerned when I saw the car is fitted with falkens. I will see how it is on longer trips and decide then.

The green does look good but it is difficult to take a good picture to really show it. I am happy we took the risk;)
