Ive just bought a Corolla to tied me over,The remote buttons on the key arnt working and Ive replaced the Battery I bought it from a friend,who says that it was,but he hasnt used the car for a while due to health reasons How to I match the key to the car,so the remote buttons work Len

Hello Ive just bought a Corolla from a friend .The remote on the key doesnt work ,Ive replaced the Battery and still no luck My friend said it did work quite recently Is there a procedure to reset the key Len

Check that the key fob Battery is fitted the right way up, easy to put it in upside down.

Toyota cars can disable the remote keys in certain condition like low 12v Battery or low remote control Battery or other reasons and then you need to reprogram them. Here is the procedure, it might be helpful.

PS don't cheap out on the batteries either.
