Ive just bought a Corolla from a friend The remote buttons on the key have no effect,Ive replaced the Battery still no effect  .My friend did say it worked quite recently Len

I've no idea of this will work but I did a search on the Internet & there were a lot of videos & the other websites. This is one :-

If its not keyless this probably won't work & as this is .com it's probably USA so also may not work here. Try looking at videos or waiting for someone who knows how for real.
