Hey corolla tte  here. Just fixed the supercharger...

Now my uncle who's car it is said so CE he got it serviced last his oil dipstick keeps jumping out after a few mins of driving. Can y'all help by pointing in right direction. It has a typhoon k&n kit and there seems to be the small bit near the filter plugged and also I see a small vacuum pipe plugged under that piping. Will try upload pics tomorrow. But if anything else I can check meantime.

I think you have answered your own question.

I'll happily admit I don't know this set up but my first though was that either:

A. The dipstick is "loose" and its vibrating out - but I've never heard of anything like that happening. Most are so tight you need to be "enthusiastic" to get them out.

or

B. There's positive pressure in the crankcase that's forcing the dipstick out. That's not good news and the reason needs finding and correcting.

Good luck.

Andy.

If a "typhoon k&n kit" is one of those cone filter type arrangements then take it out and put the original back. All the cone filter will do, even if fitted properly, is draw hot air from under the bonnet instead of cool/cold air from outside and will make the car run worse.

If there are crankcase ventilation hoses that run into the original airbox and these have been blanked off then, in the words of Mythbusters, "Well, there's ya problem".

KNN air filter is just dumb. It does not filter well and do nothing for most application with air and fuel are metered with injectors these days.

Cold air intake but inside the engine bay, what the fudge.

It's either over filled with oil or the PCV is stuck/broke

Yes, it is from blowby gas that escape from the dipstick.

Thank you all for input. Y'all correct in some way or the other lol.

The k&n does look very sus as I can see something blanked off and found a thin vaccum blanked off under it.

Only thing is ... The k&n been in there from the time the guy got the car and the dipstick only started popping out recently. He suspects the guy who serviced it last took it to the track or something... Which then leads me to bigger problems in my head..  but I'll start with pcv valve. I think it's pretty accessible right? On a 2zz just at the top somewhere yeah?

The design is very similar to 2ZR engine but without EGR.   It is deep under the intake, not that easy to remove but not terrible either.

Ok so checked the pcv valve seems ok..

Can't feel any leaks from the induction kit (problem of this is very recent, the induction kit is old install when he bought the car)

So there's actually 2 problems. The dipstick popping out (noticed there was no rubber on the dipstick and I don't have the correct size I have a o ring that's either too thin or too thick lol)

So dipstick is one and high idle is another. I'm going for a test now with the bigger rubber and I've jammed it in a bit so will see if it's still popping out.

There doesn't seem to be anything that sticks out as an issue regarding how that K&N Typhoon is plumbed in.  I have a Typhoon myself and the ports you have blocked are also blocked off on mine.  You do have to be careful with how the vacuum is routed when removing the factory box and that nothing is venting to air so you don't have Air/Fuel mixture issues, but it shouldn't cause excessive crankcase pressure to my mind.

I'd replace the PCV valve, I did it myself recently - It's extremely easy and cheap on the 2ZZ-GE, around £20 for the valve, simply detach the air hose, unbolt the valve, bolt the new one back in, reattach the hose.  The valve is on the top right hand corner of the rocker cover - almost directly north of the oil fill hole.

Right so i got a smoke machine and had a few leaks on the supercharger piping.. tightened it all up thats good to go. Dipstick issue was just a rubber issue. FInal thing left is the high idle.

Told the guy order a tps and fit it and see if it makes a difference.

I did take out the pcv valve and shook it and it is clicking is that test good enough? It seems like its working as a one way valve as could blow through it only one way.

Any other suggestions let me know.

THanks for all the help so far also.
