What's the liability if they break it?

They'll probably deny it. There will also be no video footage to prove it was them

Good point for the first part. Would u like being recorded at work?

Most businesses have CCTV cameras in operation. This is perfectly legal as long as they display signage to show recording is taking place. This is usually placed at the main entrance of the building. It is then your choice to enter the building and be filmed, or not enter their premises. As mentioned previously, I am a law abiding citizen, and have nothing to hide, so this doesn't really affect me.

Exactly one of my points and not only that.  To disconnect it and not tell you and you don't notice and have a accident and you needed the footage !!  It's just all in their favour and forget about us.

What they need to do, is to put it in their T&C's stating if you have one, disconnect it or they will do it....to mess with it in any way and not say anything is just not on.

Going forward, it's going to be as important as booking it in for the job on the car.  If they are shi*** about it, I'll go somewhere else and leave a online review warning other customers.

Hi all I just been reading these and  mmm I know  .many years ago I used to work in a place like kwickfit  so after a few weeks I moved off the tyre section to general repairs/mot stuff

And the stuff these guys used to do to ppls cars I know why they don't want you watching them .

Ripping customers off  damaging there cars  even damaging repairs for the customer to come back an have fixed  (this one was they replace the busted part but you have to pay the labour) also being said using customer cars to run earns.even taken them home an bringing them back the next day  then calling you your car ready to be collected.

As for the photo of the mileage  they used to unclip the speedo  .

So don't trust garages

Especially now as all stuff now mostly fixed by electrician/lap top .

Don't think main dealers are any better .

I caught Hutchinson Vauxhall dealer trying to charge  disabled/motablity customers  for ....adblue .... when I argued with the sales/parts manager  who then called the branch manager over  for both them to say  ADBLUE is not part of the service  so I looked up the motability Web site an showed them

All motablity customers pay for is petrol or diesel NOTHING else .

I called round all the main dealers in cardiff and asked them they all said no you have to pay .

I contacted motability and they told me even sent an email saying

Customers do NOT pay for adblue in there cars . As part of there motablity contract .

I had an email off a woman from motablity head office thanking me for bringing this to there attention.

How many years has that been going on an all the diesel cars that been thro dealers hands to charge £30 extra for adblue .

I thought it was going to be the next ppl thing  lol .
