Auris 2014 D error code Po658

Firstly, Hi to everyone. New on here. I am getting above error code, with the 'spanner' light on. Can clear by keeping Odometer button pressed while switching on. But code & light come on again after 30Miles town diving.

Any help appreciated as to what the reason/fix may be

Hi, 

you need to run a proper diagnostic to read all fault codes as usually this P0658 comes with other codes too. If you Google it you will find more information.

only other codes shown are Uo100....driver door open

electric power steering code 0

immobilizer code 0

all with green ticks,which I assume means good

P0658 iirc is the VNT actuator on the turbo, but i would need to look it up

Is that the correct code or a typo ? P0685 ?

P0658 relates to the throttle body, unplug it, makes sure it's clean and dry with no corrosion. Plug it back in

my bad, a typo it is PO685 (power relay open circuit)

If I clear the 'spanner' light, when I start car, immediately the DPF error light comes on, but not always. Either fault lights make no difference to power or fuel consumption of car. The DPF was replaced a year ago, with the re-furb one from Toyota. Can only hope that its not DPF again.

i would start with the relay remove it, make sure it's clean and tight

 

i see looking up the part that it has been replaced by a new type 90987-02012 - so more than likely a known problem - looks like a common 4 pin relay
