Hi

Is anyone having problems with thier media system

Here are some of mine:

  • cannot attach 2 phones to 1 profile
  • profile needs to be synched manually on a frequent basis (annoyingly the error notice keeps popping up and obscuring map display)
  • features that were on my previous Ch-Hr are now missing: centre display turn notification and choice of media source
  • no send to car
  • journeys missing in MyT

I am currently in an on-going dialogue with the Director of Customer Liason, Toyota UK about these issues. It was a nightmare trying to get an acknowledgement of the issues (dealer didn't want to know, then Toyota UK gave me the runaround - unrepsonsive to e-mails, no return phone calls, etc). They tried to deflect and deceive by blaming me for all of the issues and saying they were unique to me.

Please let me know your exepriences and I will add them as evidence to my list of points for Toyota to work on. 

I have had the car for 6 weeks - love the engine etc but feel cheated by the not for purpose nature of the sat nav / media system and features being downgraded from the previous version.

I have missing journeys in the MyT app. It shows my current location after every trip, so knows where I am, along with the correct current mileage, but the Driving Analytics shows my last trip to have been on the 01/07/2023.

I can attach 2 phones to one profile.

The choice of media source is in the audio section I press audio, then there I can press sources, the button on the steering wheel also changes source.

There is no turn notification in the centre consul

Not had journeys missing as yet

Sadly there seems to be no send to car, which I agree is not good

My “send to car” demand results in being told to register my infotainment system.  This requires things like serial number, which I cannot find. I have tried all available info unique to my car, with no success.  When it goes in for service next month I will ask dealership for help.

No nor me, I think we have the new multimedia unit , where Haliotis having a "21" reg car has the older unit

Well, Jon, for all the good it does me, you don’t seem to be losing out on anything.  Perhaps the failure of my media model has prompted Toyota to scrap that facility on later models!

It is strange though, I'm on my 2nd CHR, the first I bought when they very first came out and until I sold it earlier this year the "send to" worked brilliantly and I used it a lot. It was great to be able to send a route to the car from home, then see the "it uploaded successfully" message when  the car connected to the Internet.

I too, used the Send to Car feature a lot on my previous C-HR. It would be great if they brought it back. Now I have to take a photo of the postcode I want to travel to, wait for my phone to connect to the Apple carplay and then try and open the photos app, find the right photo, and the I have to manually enter the postcode.

I used to use Send to Car quite regularly and still could - it's very convenient to be able to set-up one's destination "the evening before" and just go in the morning.

But Send to Car is quite limited in terms of specifying a destination and, since many of my destinations are in more rural areas, postcodes don't have the necessary accuracy. So, I have largely reverted to doing things the way I did before - use Google Maps to find an exact Lat/Long for where I want the car to end up, write that down on a notelet, and simply enter that in the car ... well, it works for me ... 🙂

Exactly as I used to do. I do miss it, but it hasn't inconvenienced me a great deal.
