MyT app showing no connected services

Hi,

I downloaded the MyT app and it says I have to verify the vehicle. It says I need to input a code from the v5c. I haven't received the new v5c yet. Is there nothing I can do until it arrives??

Basically no, you have to use the code from the V5C. Bear in mind though that all you'll really be able to do in the app with your Auris is to view any dealer service history. I'm fairly sure that the 2013 Auris didn't have any connected services as such.

On a related matter, after over two years ownership, I've just got round to playing with MyT on my 2017 Auris Excel. TBH, when I first got the car, compared with just using Waze on my phone,  I found the car satnav very slow and cumbersome. But the ability to search for a route using the app and then 'sending' it to the car probably changes that (if it works that is). The stored map in my car is now over 6 years old. Do people think Toyota's £119 price tag on the latest update is worth purchasing or shall I just stick with Waze?

Get Update Code from eBay seller for about £30. They are genuine and identical to Toyota dealership service. 

Don't buy any update from Toyota dealership or online. If it is overprice. Pay max £30 for the newest update. The map you can install or download from toyota website but thr code you can get from anyone that can generate from your DEVICE ID. 

The car Satnav is pretty stable and good when we have no internet connection at all. It is also more stable in the city with tons of tall building. Phone GPS are often wacky when we are surrounded by tall buildings.
