It is now available to configure and order online.

Right now, it's not! 😄

I get:

502 Bad Gateway

Microsoft-Azure-Application-Gateway/v2

from the Toyota website. I guess it's being updated (badly) ... 😉

Edit: and now:

504 Gateway Time-out

Microsoft-Azure-Application-Gateway/v2

Yes seems you can only save it now but at least you can see the specifications.

At which point did you get the bad gateway? I can still go through the configuration process.

And it's back online! It was only away for a few minutes ... 🙂

So, for the PHEV we can have a Design or a GR Sport - the GR Sport effectively / mostly replaces the Dynamic Premium (from a quick look at the specs and comparison between Design and GR Sport Grades)

And for the HEV we can have a Design or an Excel ...

The GR Sport is definitely a downgrade on the Dynamic Premium but maybe that kept the price increase down to a reasonable level.

I want Toyota to re-list the Highlander. At the moment it is the only Toyota that would tempt me out if my RAV.

What's missing? I'm sure there are things but the GR Sport adds PVM which the Dynamic Premium lacked and which would make it a more attractive proposition for me ...

Moon roof, JBL, vented seats to name just 3 items missing…… the first 2 are ‘must haves’ for me and vented seats are difficult to give up once you have them.

The GR Sport does have the Toyota Skyview® Panoramic roof so that's not 'missing'. The vented seats are replaced by "GR Sport Alcantara Seats with Memory function on driver seat" (whatever that really means). And the only reason I have the JBL system is to get PVM which the GR Sport has anyway. So, for me, the GR Sport doesn't seem to be missing anything that matters - others may, of course, see things differently ... 😉

Ah, I couldn’t open the website and from the image I found there definitely wasn't any form of sunroof. The Dynamic Premium had memory seat settings but didn’t have PVM as an option in any form. I must admit that is something I would really like. Is JBL available?

My car is in the dealers again tomorrow to sort out another sunroof fail….. I will see if they have a GR to view.

It's in my dealership. Had a look round. 3 month order to delivery time.

Only the vented seats are missing from my recce of one in the dealership. Plenty of other extras.

Hi all, new to the forum here.

I've just put an order in for a RAV4 PHEV in GR Sport trim. Agree with some of the comments here that the GR Sport seems pretty loaded with features (at least from my point of view). I particularly liked the styling which was definitely a selling point.

To the best of my knowledge and research the RAV4 PHEV for the UK market will continue to be produced in Japan (important detail for me). Dealership says this is so. Are any owners/prospective buyers able to also confirm this?

Many thanks,
G

UK RAV4s have been produce in and imported from Japan since 1994. Who knows what tomorrow may bring but there's no sign of a change so far ... 😉

Thanks for the info. The current finance rates are such a jump from 2 years ago it looks like it is a non-starter for my budget. I should have better explored the Highlander option 2 years ago!

Sweet. And top end is 4k cheaper than my list price on the car (company scheme).

Which colour?

To my mind the new PHEV GR Sport makes the Excel iAWD a poor buy (at current prices) especially with the extra equipment, OK I know it's more expensive but its still the better buy in my opinion.

Went with Decuma Grey (dark grey) bi-tone

with running boards (steps) and without panoramic roof (didn’t want or need it)

No JBL that I can see……

Yes, that’s correct. It isn’t an option either. The Speakers did seem decent however with good control on the new infotainment system. Given how fully loaded otherwise the car is, I hope the Speakers it comes with match the overall spec.

Latest update is Feb-March 2024. We don’t mind the wait as it gives time to get a few things sorted before it arrives (e.g. home charger, finances..).
