Avensis T27 brake caliper piston

This should be a short thread, but I am just making sure. Does the front Brake caliper piston on a 2014 Avensis D4D need to be twisted back or can it be just pushed straight back like the older models, I am aware of the complications of the rear brakes but I took the front pads out the other day and cleaned them etc, I noticed that the piston in the caliper is the usual hollow type, as i expected it to be a closed type piston with groves to twist. Also what is the best tool for the job if it is a twist.

Just push, no twisting is needed (but you can if you like) 🙂 (the is no handbrake mechanism behind the piston)

EDIT: For pushing I use similar tool

Just get a big screwdriver or flat tyre lever between the pad and the piston and lever it back in, no special tools are required.
