5 short beeps on engine startup

Good day.

Having weard issue here, where when I'm starting the vehicle, it beeps 5 short times.

It is happening only on startup, and when driving never comes up.

Last time I had similar issue, was with a immobilizer low Battery, but then the issue was that it beeps at startup AND flashing light inside the car, where my immobilizer light is located. This was approximately 6 month ago, replaced Battery and this went away.

Right now, thought maybe had a bad Battery, so I changed it with brand new, just in case, but issue still persists. So it's not immobilizer issue.

To be clear, if the keyfob battery is getting low, I get on-dash error about it, so it's not it.

My 2nd thought is, that this is "service interval reminder", because approximately 10 000km ago, was at dealer for maintenance, and maybe they turned on the service reminder? Don't have any error on dash, nor any warning lights came on.

Any ideas?

Not exactly 5 beeps, but I had random beeps happening recently. Maybe between 4-6 when I started the car and went away when driving.

It turned out one of my front parking sensors had been damaged and wasn't pulsing correctly. It was giving a lot of false positives.

Did you have any error messages, or a light came on on the dashboard? Or just a beeps, and thats it?

Was at a shop, for maintenance, and asked them to check for errors that could be stored, they told me that only error was that a difficult start was happening, probably because of the low Battery voltage, and nothing else. No idea which scan tool they used, but that was all they could tell me.

There were no lights on the dashboard / no error messages. Just beeps.

New information:

Beeping is present when not even starting the engine. Tried to wake up the car (pressing start button, withought holding brakes) and it beeps 5 times. So engine startup has nothing to do with it. I'm confused

Not sure if this is relevant to this issue, but scanned the vehicle for trouble codes, and got 1 error: P1604 Startability Malfunction, for which read few articles and it does not make any sense for my case.

For this code to show up, car needs to:

• engine not start
• engine starts but then stalls
• hard to start engine, like plenty of revs untill actually engine starts

Which are not in my case. Car starts normally, no issues. If did not scan the codes, would not have noticed any difference to the operation of the engine/car.

Unfortunately not. Closest that I got, narrowed it down to be the sound coming from "immobiliser" speaker.

Regular scan-tool cannot read this, and thinking going to dealership, as they were the ones to install the "immobilise" system.

Hi Fers,

I’ve attached a list of every reason that the buzzer in the cars combination meter would sound.  I presume you’re talking about the beep that we hear when the lane keep warning goes off or for leaving the lights on etc.  if so, the below are all the reasons for it to sound and things you might want to check out.

i went into my techstream and turned off the annoying seatbelt beep lol
