Hi all, just wondering if anyone can confirm whether their wireless charger in a rav4 dynamic works with an iPhone? I have an iPhone 13 and my mrs has a 12, both charge for so long on the charging pad, then the charger stops after a minute or so and flashes 3 times. Must add this happens with and without cases on, i suspect it could be faulty.

Never tried it with an iPhone only Android devices. Samsung S10 and Google Pixel 7 Pro both with slim cases which charge wirelessly OK at home but useless in the car. Positioning is very critical and the phone gets very hot.

Maybe others have had a better experience?

iPhone 12 and above have magnets in the phone to facilitate the magsafe charger. The oem cases also have magnets in them for this purpose.
in effect the onboard charger has a protection mechanism in it which detects “metal” on the charging pad ie keys and shuts down. The magsafe rings trigger this protection circuit.
i have exactly the same issue with iPhone 13/14 in my prius.
i have mounted a magsafe charging ring plugged into the usb with a black silicon cover velcro’d to the charging pad.  I do not use onboard charging circuit.
hope that helps.

I would suggest those facebook posts are bogus. Been having this experience for at least 3 years.

My iPhone 14 and wife’s iPhone 12 never charge well with the wireless charger.

We just plug them in (1 for car play and google maps!) and ignore the wireless
