Engine codes on aygo

Hi guys,

Im a bit confused about the sticker near my oil fuelcap. i have a 2009 Toyota Aygo with MMT Gearbox. which should have the 1KR-FE engine.

My sticker says 1KR-B52M which from wikipedia says that engine is only produced from 2016 > upwards. My car is from 2009 and has 126.000km on the odo bought it at 70.000km's.

Am i tripping out that they have could replaced the engine?

Bought it 2 years ago, and it had 1 owner from 2009 > 2015 and 2nd owner from 2015 > 2021. Also looking up the type i have KGB10L-AHGGKW(1G) should have the 1KR-FE engine

B52M is just the variant 07-2014

they are internal codes all you need to know is your year, and it's a 1KRFE

There is no reference to these code variant in the EPC or service manual

putting the details in, the epc comes up with 19000-0Q011 replaced by 19000-0Q040
