Monday 18th

Due to illness I didn't use car for 3 weeks. When I pressed fob unlock doors unlocked but only one mirror opened. Would not start. Showing security system failure to deactivate symbol.

Breakdown man attended and said he suspected flat(ish) Battery and put jump cables on. He then said car Battery seemed ok but key fob Battery was dead which I replaced and this also was dead. He put his own 2032 in my fob and it unlocked and it started ok.

Friday 22nd

Replaced fob batteries in main key and spare key fob. Car door unlocks but wont start from power button. Same warning symbol with whiny sound.

Car won't lock/unlock with either main or spare fob. Car key won't lock doors either.

Any ideas would be appreciated. Can all these fob batteries be duds?

Is there some way I can reset the system as it seems the fobs aren't talking to the car ?

Regards

Pete

Sounds like your 12v Battery needs replacing - low voltage does strange things

is it a hybrid ?? Do you have keyless entry and start ?

I take it you got into the car using the physical key, this is mechanical only and locks/unlocks 1 door
