I bought a 2023 Corolla cross last weekend. Today I put some bags in the trunk and drove to my destination. Upon arrival I found that the trunk hatch/door will not open. I am not sure how to resolve.

We don't have the Cross in the UK.

However, to get the bags, can you not access the rear seats from the rear side doors, fold down the seats and remove the bags from the boot?

Aside from that, as it is a new (?) car, book it into a Toyota dealer to get the boot issue sorted.

Climb into the boot area from the rear seats. At the bottom of the tailgate, there should be a small square-ish pop out panel. Pop it off, and behind there is an 'emergency release' mechanism, similar to the tailgate of a Prius.

It should be explained in your manual, if not your local dealer should be able to sort you out.
