Bluetooth problem

I have 2019 1.8 Corolla Icon Tech estate and am trying to pair my iPhone 13 mini with the audio system to use the phone in hands-free mode, but the Corolla doesn’t see the phone and the phone doesn’t see the Corolla, though bluetooth is running on both. Can anyone suggest a solution? Thanks.

Assuming you've acquired the car used, maybe all of the slots have been taken up by devices belonging to previous owners? Might be worth checking for any existing paired devices in the settings and deleting them before trying again. Happens to me a lot when I pick up a hire car.
