Noise electric liftgate strutt

Hi, 

My electric liftgate strutts makes a squishy noise when opening and closing.

I lubricated with WD-40, but it keeps coming back.

Do you think the seal is dried out? 

Maybe i need to use something else then WD-40?

Or maybe this can be opened?

Hi, 

Have you lubricated the hinges? Use thin machine oil instead or lithium grease spray . 👍

Alright. For everyone who has the same problem. This was my fix. I sprayed the ball of the hinges top and bottem. And turn by hand ( make loose ). That was the fix. No more sound since September  :)

These cars usually has hinges drying and causing issues m seems like these are also a spots for extra care and maintenance. 👌
