MOT Failed due to rusty bar

Hi, 

Verso 2012 failed MOT today due to the rusty bar underneath.
Mechanic said that it is a roll bar, but couldn't find replacement part online. I took the car to Toyota, and they weren't sure what it is either. 

I've attached few images, do you know what part is this and how can I order it?
My car is currently off-road as "dangerous" to drive.

Is the structural integrity of the bar compromised, or ir it just rust?

In the picture it's dissolved itself by half.

Some kind of stabiliser/ torsion bar?  Could probably just go to a metal fabrication shop and cut out the rotten hollow tube and get a new section welded in and paint it all in underseal. Only the middle bit looks done for.

The last picture says its a lot more than serface rust its a replacment part or remanufactured part.

Its also posible you maybe lucky just to pick out up at the scrap yard but thats a long shot.

Thanks everyone for your reply. Part in question is called panhard rod. It's not necessary or legal requirement to have it on the car, but it does give extra stability in the corners. 
As it took my car off the road, I'll take it to Toyota for the quick (and sadly expensive) repair.

Hi did you have any luck with the repair also if you don't mind saying the cost of repair the same thing has gone on our verso and is due for MOT next week

I also had the same issue recently and changed the bar myself - its a relatively straightforward job, requiring 10mm and 14mm sockets.  It's a bit easier to manage if you can raise the car for easier access.

In terms of costs, the bar cost €300 (here in Ireland) from a Toyota dealer and takes about 30 mins, possibly up to an hour if the bolts are rusted.  I'd imagine that a mechanic would charge you an hour's labour for the job, so maybe £400 altogether.

When I picked up the bar from the dealer, it had only a thin coat of paint to protect it and the area of the car that it attached to had quite a bit of flaky rust so I used the car for a week without the bar while I cleaned up the underside of the car and painted the new bar.  I didn't notice any real difference in handling and stability while the bar was off.  Obviously, it's there for a reason and a new one should be fitted, but should you need to get the car through the MOT before you've a chance to get the new bar fitted, removing the rusted bar and getting the car tested may be one option as when its removed, there's very little to suggest that its missing.  Given the rusty state of the old one, its unlikely to be contributing much to chassis rigidity as things stand.

@Oiram is that an add on part? Just remove it if it is not a original Toyota part for the car so you can pass MOT.

The car uses torsion beam suspension and the beam is Ok. Does it have a proper stabilizer links and bar?
