I've just had my gearbox oil changed at my local Toyota dealer. I was a little surprised that they did it as I've heard reports that some dealers don't touch imports. The reason I had the oil changed was that when the engine is hot and you're waiting at a junction with your foot on the brake, when you set off and go from brake to accelerator quickly there's a bit of a clunk and a *****. If you're slow about it there isn't.

Anyway the receipt says they used about 5 litres of ATF WS fluid, part number L08886-81210. Is this the correct fluid for a CVT box? Car drives perfectly so far.

Thanks. That puts my mind at rest. I think the Facebook Estima forum was on about CVT fluid TC as does my handbook

Well I went to the dealer and saw the service manager. Can't say I took to him, very brash and full of himself. He assured me that it was the correct oil, it was the only one they could order for my car etc. Given that they had it down as a Previa I'm not entirely convinced.
