blind spot monitoring

Hi, hoping someone can help, I've just bought a 2020 prius plus excel and whilst looking all adverts and toyota feature check sheet shows this model to have the blind spot monitoring unlike my lexus nx300h which the bsm shows in the side mirrors the toyotas doesn't, does it have it? if so where ?

You can see the BSM lights in the mirrors of my 2017 Excel, no reason the 2020 should not have them as far as I know.  Is it a UK spec car or is it import?

When you start the car they should light up in both mirrors as they do a self check.

Could  the BSM function have been disabled on the screen of the multi-information display by a previous owner?

it's a UK car, no lights in door mirrors

Failing that, I'd suspect a fault.

My previous 2016 Prius Excel certainly had them and I'd be surprised if it was removed from the spec.  If you look closely at the mirror glass near the outside tip you should be able to see where the lights are even when not illuminated, so if you can't see them you probably don't have them.

If they are evident, a 2020 car would have come with a 5 year warranty so as long as the car hasn't exceeded the mileage limit (100,000 I think) you could get a dealer to investigate.

I'm not sure the Prius plus spec was the same as the Prius excel.

I could be wrong, but wasn't plus classed as a different model?
