Half Leather Seats: Are Vinyl, Faux Leather?

I have had the bolsters repaired now. According to the sales brochure the seats fitted to the Aygo Xpression are half leather. 
The material is vinyl with a cloth backing, faux leather.

Noticed an Aygo for sale had the same issue.

I don’t think Toyota will do anything now.

Assume the publicity went out as half leather. Probably found to be too expensive, so manufactured in faux leather.

Hi Leslie, bolster wear on many cars seems to be a problem ,you can't really avoid brushing against them especially if they are slightly raised. Even the leather ones do the same.

No doubt classed as a wear and tear issue with Toyota . It might be interesting to other members who have a similar problem the sort of cost to have this type of repair done should they wish to do so.

Have you also a finished repair photo it would be good to see.👍

Hi Bob. The trimmer said it is about £70/bolster. I have used him before so did not pay that. He replaced both seat and back bolster.

Might put a bit more foam at front, will see how it settles
