My 2018 Yaris came without mudflaps and I was thinking of having some fitted but is it worth it? Do they actually make a difference and where is the best place to buy them?

Yes is the short answer, I wouldn't be without them, and they are easily fitted.

I got some Front OE Toyota ones for my 2nd (Or was it 3rd? I forget...  ) Yaris and it was amazing how much difference the stubby bit of plastic made to the amount of guck that got sprayed onto the driver and passenger doors!

The answer is a definite Yes, as everybody has said.

Our 2003 Yaris is virtually rustfree underneath.

Front  mudflaps from new no doubt helped.

Does anybody know where I can source some new mudflaps please as they seem to be nil stock on many outlets. My local garage told me that a warehouse had burnt down and the manufacturer doesn’t plan on restarting production.

The company making them went into receivership. A new company is being sourced but that requires new tooling etc, there was talk that it would be at least the beginning of 2024 but no news yet

Were they a UK based supplier or should I look internationally?

What mudflaps would you recommend for a Mk4?

Part numbers or AliExpress or eBay links would be great.

I just checked with my local dealer, and the front mudflaps are available, but not the rear ones.

The lovely lady told me the same thing as you said, but there are no updates on that. I hope this will be sorted out soon so I can get the rear mudflaps/mudguards.

p.s MK3 mudflaps/mudguards. not sure if the MK4 is affected!

I had an interesting conversation with the local Suzuki dealer.  He said a lot of Japanese mudflaps had been prohibited because the plastic contained something banned in Europe.  The mudflaps for the S Cross up to 2019 are available but the cost…….  £450 a set.  Google them.
