I've got 3 spare wheels!...

Apparently they're off a 2011 car. I got them as a job lot on an eBay auction, collected them in a filthy state, cleaned them up and they're ok - just ok, not pristine by any means, but fine as spares.

One of them had a fair bit of inner wheel corrosion. Although it was only surface, not structural, it was ugly, so I've sanded it down and started the re-painting process...

The other two aren't badly corroded inside - they're actually better than some of the wheels on my car!

Two of the tyres are as bald as a coot and the 'good' tyre (on the wheel I'm painting) doesn't seem to be staying up. It's very old, but it should be okay for an emergency spare if I can get it to hold air.

I shall definitely be keeping one as a spare wheel for my car, but the other two will need rehoming. Should I get new tyres for them, or try to sell them as wheels that need a tyre?

Hi Glimp,a 16in yaris spacesaver spare wheel will fit tight behind the rear seats by removing the rear storage box and chopping some of the polystyrene from the black jack holder below,Ive done a seat delete,but the pic shows where my spare lives!

Over the years I've bought maybe 3 sets of wheels for various cars and immediately had new tyres fitted as I had no idea if tyres that came on them were good or damaged.

Personally I wouldn't waste your time or money, sell them as wheels with free tyres.

Have you got any wheels left?  I’ve just discovered my iQ uses the same style, and I’d love a spare! (No faith in those spray gunk alternatives!)

I've got both of them left! I'm the same as you regarding 'puncture repair kits'.
