Power Tailgate

Hello everyone,

I have just taken delivery of a new Yaris Cross Excel. I am having a problem opening the power tailgate. Whether I use my foot, or the button above the registration plate, I have to operate either once to slightly open the tailgate, and then again for it to open fully. Is there a setting that needs changing, or is there a fault??

It’s probably just needs resetting, pop back to the dealer and get them to do it…

Hold the button in until it beeps....it should then be back to full height opening.

How on earth did people cope before 'features' like this were introduced and how much additional weight do they add?

My old Yaris has manual windows!

Can it be opened and closed with the key fob ?

You sound like my old mate who’d follow this up with his Morris 1000 which came with the optional passenger seat and optional heater!

No 😃,  just had to go to the car. The key opened the tailgate.
