The 2.0 VVTi is a pretty standard engine for a UK spec 4.2 - why do you think yours comes from Australia?

What grade is it? What do you know about your engine?

A basic HPI check or check with DVLA would reveal if the car is an import.

You can also write to Toyota GB with your car's VIN and they can tell you manufacturing date and where it was sold.

i was doing some research online and came across a website that didn't list the vvti engine as being used in mk2 models in the uk. L also looked on wikipedia and i think it says that the vvti engine for the rav4 mk2 was available in australia and does not say that it was in the uk versions.
