Chrome Reg Plates

Am getting chrome ends for my reg plates and I was wondering how do they go on ?...will I have to take my original plates off to put them on on and back on the car or can I put them on as it is?...help appreciated

ones i got for yaris wudnt fit! from Halfords!!

on the back, it wouldnt go on coz wit chrome plate holder on, the holes on reg plate wudnt line up to ones on bumper bcoz the chrome reg holder moves it down.

and for the front, it wudnt go on bcoz the reg holder has plastic bits on back, therefore screws were too small to fit it on

I got mine from gb driver com..so they will work on the back but not on the front???

none of mine went on.

i could suggest just buying sticky pads from Halfords for number plates, and sticking them on via that!! its ur only solution if they dont fit.

some reg plate holders are different so wait and see :hokus-pokus:

if the plastic is not thick enough is there room to put two small blocks of wood/metal to pull the screws in with??

guys you can buy longer self tappers geeeezzz, dont be tempted to use double sided tape either 1 day you'll wish you hadn't - just drill 2 small pilot holes and use longer screws.

why! i used it on the front for my square reg plate

maybe when its wet your plate might come off

i just put the crome surround on mine with double sided tape then just screwed it back on with the normal screws. that way it wont fall off

make sure u buy plenty of decent tape
