Toyota Yaris 2022 Led Fog Light

Hi all.

Question we have a toyota yaris dynamic model & the lamp has gone.

Spoke to Toyota & they saying it's a 2 part piece. 

1 is a led cost £62.44

2 is the power unit cost £85.66.

Has anyone changed there lamps or unit plus does anyone know the pEt numbers or what type of lamp it?

Isn't these part under warranty for 3 years? Or just 1 year?

We have the toyota service plan & I asked about lamps & they said it's not covered as it comes under wear & tear.

The service plan is nothing to do with the warranty.

Wow! 😮 That is one expensive rear fog light!!! (and a ridiculous price for an LED!!)

I wouldn't have thought that that was normal for one to go so quickly?

Haven't read the warranty coverage. If it doesn't cover then you should get in contact with Toyota UK and ask for a gesture of goodwill as clearly it should not happen to a fog light, rarely gets used. Faulty.

Basically the price to change a pair of pads? Or more than a premium tyre? Ok. What?

Could be worse, could have been a brake light on a GMC ...I'm generally all in favour of technological advancements but some of them are just a licence to print money, this a bread and butter car in the states not some high end hand made special.
