Car pulls to the left a little...

FWD. Most of the time, it tends to go to the left if I remove my hands from the wheel for a moment. Do you think this is because of heavy car and road camber, or would you expect it to stay running straight ahead. How do other people's car behave? Soon going on for first service, but not mad about changing factory settings. Thanks

Hi, David ,

I would find a flat section of road and try it a few times. Cars do pull if the road does have a camber. Also check your tyres for any signs of wear. In my opinion as the car is brand new the issue probably is when you are on a slight camber in the road which may be present but not seen. Be👍

And tyre pressure esp on the fronts.

Having thought a minute though, those are probably displayed on the dash with newish cars.

Think you may be correct about camber on the road. I will find a flat carpark and test. Will report how I get on.... Thanks

I'm back. Tested in a flat carpark, it went straight. Tyres all equal, but a little soft. My previous car always went straight on the same roads, but I remember it had a tendency to wear the front tyres on either the inside or outside, so I was spoiled. I like a car that wants to always go straight, not bothered about the turns, happy to slowly around them. Thanks for replies.

Do you have Lane Trace Assist or Lane Centring enabled / active? Some of us have found that the system 'demands' that we drive further from the centre line and closer to the lefthand kerb than we want / are used to. So, it pulls left until we are where it wants us to be ...

The solution in an 'older' RAV4 is to simply switch the system off. I'm not sure what options you have on the bZ4X.

Exactly the problem on the PHEV which I recently retested a few days ago, still pulls so that is off centre towards the left.

Good idea, have LDA on the BX4Z. Tested but makes no difference on this car. Seems nothing wrong with the car, it just follows the cambers a bit. Thanks for all the help from you for figuring this out, never would have come to this conclusion without all of you. Delighted the car is fine.
