Unlucky to hear about the powerflow exhaust, i had one fitted on a Paseo about 2months ago and the only prob i had was that the exhaust had a bit too much movement that they sorted out for me.

Maybe just different places?!?

Have you looked into companies such as Janspeed and Magnex??

Or contact WickEP on www.toyotaownersclub.com

He does a VERY good system including the downpipe for about £300 delivered. Please don't quote me on the price, that is an approximate. There are people on the site who have bought them and they are well happy with them.

If I ever buy another exhaust, that's what I'll buy, put it that way.

TBH,

from what i have heard, you should avoid powerflow exhausts full stop.

Ignoring for a minute, that they just do really loud straight through pipes for all the muppets, and dont actually bother with any workmanship..

I have heard that toyota engines especially, require a certain amount of backpressure, and these custom 'quicky' jobs can actually reduce power, due to not providing any where near enough BP..

exhaustsuk.com.....there one of the best about, loads of ppl i no av em,an most mags well rate em,ie fast car etc. they giv u a lifetime warranty i think to

nowhere near surrey, but Custom Chromes in Nuneaton (West Midlands) should be able to sort you out.

Fidgits is totally right

Toyota engine's do require a certain amount of back pressure, if not there is a loss of performance & it drinks more fuel so lower MPG as well <_<

So I know it expensive, but I would go for a reputable company such as Blitz. The reason being is their exhausts have been tried and tested and work well with the 4E-FTE, are specifically designed etc.

I know it a big initial outlay, but I'm sure it will be worth it in the long run!!!

The cheapest place I have found for the Blitz NUR Spec for the EP91 is £495 including vat from GPS . They were really helpful.

The other system you could go for is a HKS Super Drager, but don't know how much it is!!!

Hope this helps

Nath

3 1/2 inch hope that a typo cause i tried 3 inch piping on my turbo and it's a big big job to get that to work i'd say 3 1/2 would be impossible to get over the rear axle. Also if your running n/a you'll be loosing lots of power from having no back pressure.

At the end of the day if you want a quality exhaust then your going to have to pay for it :ffs: i'm sorry but after learning the hard way you get what you pay for if you want to modify a car cheaply then go by a saxo or corsa.

These Jap cars cost allot of money to modify with quality parts. Why do you think time and time again we see people getting a starlet turbo on the other site then once they find out how much these cars cost to tune correctly they sell them on within a few months.

I know someone that has fitted the blitz exhaust, an air filter and a better BOV and is already hitting fuel cut  i also run one and the quality is amazing.

Firthy... how did you get Powerflow to put a pipe to the left hand side of the car? When i asked for that they said they couldnt do it because of the spare wheel well...

(well, they could do it but not cut it into the bumper like i had done on the right hand side.)

Being stupid whats a BOW,someone tell me! Get confused with all these abrieviations

BOV........blow off valve.

Something to do with turbos and pressure......someone else can probably explain this though

They piped over the rear axel and straight after theres a split and it goes across and behind the spare wheel well, and then bends back around to come out of the back, i origionally wanted it coming out of the centre but they told me i would have to have the wheel well cut out by a body shop so i opted for the either side option

The HKS super drager has a sort of tinny sound to it, my mates got one on the honda which set him back £600 for the honda one, but that was a long time ago... also got a cousin with the HKS silent which is the same as Kimi's... that sounds ok, a higher pitch sound to it..

yeah the drager is the one to go for man, sounds nice like the M3 exhausts...quality all the way..

GO FOR IT

turbo conversion?? how much is that setting you back? which bits did you need to get altogher?
