My friend just bought a lovely new t-bar turbo(with a few little niggles).

1.One of which is he called me up asking how to check the coolant level...

I dont actually know!how bad am i!

2.How does the fusebox cover behind the drivers side kick panel come off?

As he doesn't have side lights or taillights.

I think thats it for now, other than that, he will post some pics up on here soon!:D

(YAY the family of 2's that will be looked after is increasing! :P )

1. Check the rad cap in the engine bay .. try filling it .. it's white plastic so you should be able to see through it ..

2. The fuse boxs in the engine bay and front bonnet have clips .. the one in the foot well just needs pulling ..

Yep, Its a nice rev1, just finding loads of problems with it now :(

More problems guys...

The speedo doesnt drop down instantly:

Driving at 60mph, then slow down for traffic lights for example, when u come to a halt, the speedo is still reading 60 for about 10 seconds.

Is it common to have a rev1 tubby that only reads 110mph clock?

Is this because they were limited to 112mph or something like that?

It feels like its really underboosting, and the boost guage in the centre of the dials doesnt work very well so we cant tell, it only feels as fast as a 3S-GE... :o

Oh and a random one, any one know where the VIN plate is located on these baby's?

pulled up next to some lights at basildon and there was a another mr2 next to me....the driver waved...and i waved back! thats twice thats happend now! never happend before in any other car....another reason i love the 2!

It might have a few little niggles on it, but the bodys great on it (been redone) its got a new engine in it, new cambelt.. Niggles can be sorted!!! I love the wheels, and the yellow on tints looks great!!

see if anyone has an aftermarket boost guage you can just test the boost with!!!

all the niggles are gradually getting sorted.

the coolant leak is sorted now, got done at the same time as the cam belt.

I'll take some pics of it for everyone anyways and will post it up tonight, he'll probably be on and register fully tomorrow anyway...

Definately, He's chuffed with it, just was worried about a couple of things and fired a few questions at me, and as i didn't have the answers, popped onto the encyclopedia or MR2's!lol

He's cool though, got a few pics of ye ol' mr2 and will most likely post them up soon, shes is a beauty!:P
