Have updates for the touch and go stopped??

Hi all,

Does anybody know if the UK updates for touch and go have stopped??

If so, could you tell me when??

If not, could you tell me when the most recent one was??

Hi, 

cars around the world that uses 3G standard for in car infotainment systems may have not been able to work or have regular updates as this standard has been phased out in most countries.

I don’t know if that is the reason for your car to not be able to be updated.

Toyota stopped providing updates for the original Touch & Go systems in 2020, however there are updates still available on eBay. Spring 2023 is the most recent I can see.

I took my car to the dealership as my touch and go developed a fault. They replaced the complete head unit and said the map had been updated to the most recent update. However there are retail parks that opened in 2014 (my car is an auris 2013) that don't appear on maps. There are also a number of roads that changed their speed limits from 30 to 40 in 2015 that haven't updated. 

Has there definitely been an update for the touch and go (auris hybrid 2013) more recent than this??

There certainly were official updates available for the Touch & Go from Toyota right up to the end of 2020 because I bought one of the last. That was for a 2012 Avensis but AFAIK it was the same system used in the Auris at that time. In the settings screen of the unit it should show you exactly which map file version you have installed.

Latest version for Touch & Go is 2.24.1 noted as Q4 2022 data this would appear to be the last update.

Yes I should have pointed out that it was only the online updates which stopped in 2020. Toyota dealers still have access to later updates for the Touch & Go.

Could you please give us link where to get such documents or PDFs for 2022, 2021, and 2020 updates?  We have new tunnels, roads, and rerout in Baden-Wuerttemberg in the past 2 years.  If it is not on the list, It will be waste of money to update.

I've been searching for this info for months, and I couldn't find any link nor list.

I have a Touch and Go navi (version 1).

The only way to find the update release notes was to search on the internet for the string:

touch go update notes

Your favourite browse will give you several results of PDF documents, but without any order whatsoever... yeah, a botched job I know.

 

Here is the snapshot of all the PDFs I could find. Please consider that the file names have been CHANGED by me, so that all of them start the same way "Toyota" blah blah... The dates are accurate though.

Yes, the links about each particular update is not clear at all. It needs all previous years to get the complete updated parts.

I wished we can see the information what are being updated each year with PDF links
