Gearbox oil change

Hi 

I just bought a Rav 4 2020 Hybrid with 65k miles on the clock. 

Do I have to get the differential oil changed or is that linked to the gearbox oil?

Any help would be appreciated.

Hi, 

These cars has no transfer box and prop shafts if awd and no separate differential oil. It’s all in one box ( transmission or as called transaxle) Toyota uses automatic transmission fluid WS standard, usually it’s only drain and refill procedure similar to manual gearbox. Best to ask Toyota dealer if they want to replace, however the most likely answer will be no need to worry about it as the fluid is filled for life. You can always replace yourself but only ever use original Toyota ws automatic transmission fluid. 👍
