CAN bus in Corolla 2004?

Hi.

Long time owner of a Toyota Corolla 2004 but first post here. I bought an arduino and an MCP2515 to "listen" to the CAN bus system, but was not successful. O havent been able to verify the following, but one of the diagnostic meeters seems to suggest that it transmits over ISO 9141-2. To the best of my knowledge this is not a CAN bus protocol. 

So can anyone help me or tell me where to look? I have found the wiring diagram for the car, but it does not mention anything about a CAN bus. Also, I would be super happy if someone could me how I can test if there is a CAN bus system. I have taken the car pretty much apart internally, but my knowledge is very limited.

If its a diesel it uses K line, I take you are using an Arduino there are plenty of scripts on GitHub
