Hi all, have a 2007 Rav4 III, 100kW, with a problem when driving uphill. Started with a clogged DPF filter and a turbo with stuck vanes. Cleaned DPF filter and vanes on the turbo, mounted back together everything and got DPF filter removed from the system, when I now drive uphill, engine loose power between 1800-2500 rpm, problem is intermittent, fall out for 5-10 seconds and comes inn for approx. 5-10 second, can last longer as well. When I try to bypass vacuum magnetic switch for EGR cooler, problem is not there, but have less power, same if I bypass solenoid valve for turbo. While driving with rpm less than 1800 and higher than 2500, problem isn’t there. Is there anyone that have had such problem, and (or might) have any solution, will appreciate any answer that can help.

don't thing so, since problem wasn't there before i cleaned filter and turbo

I'd try a new fuel filter

Have you cleaned the EGR Valve, mine was almost completely obstructed, huge difference in power output
