Attachment point for tow hook on 2022 TS Design

Am I being daft?  I cant find where to screw in the tow hook at the front of my Corolla. 

The rear is easy to find - ie behind a small round plug in the bumper.

However I cannot find the front attachment point.  The handbook shows that it is behind a small detachable section on nearside of the black honeycomb grill, but my car has no such detachable section.  How daft can I be?  Any ideas please?

Hi, 

you are not the first one asking about this hook point and likely won’t be the last one. It seems Toyota has made a little game to all Corolla owners hiding it very well. It is there as per the manual , top left corner on the grill . You need to follow very carefully to find a small gap between the honeycomb and you can see it.

Yes - I had looked at that same manual page.  But I printed the page out, went to my car, put on my reading glasses etc and FOUND IT! 

I needed a flat screwdriver blade to flick it open .  And ... I fear I would not locate this again if light is poor.  But progress is progress.

Glad to hear you got it right. 
Here an example of great alternative to a screwdriver . These are must have tools for any car owner or enthusiast. They help a lot even for home use where you need to dismount two plastic details. There are more advanced sets but this is very useful indeed 👍
