Hi all,

I have a 2005 T25 “T spirit” 2.2 D4D  6 speed manual. It’s done 89,000 miles. There are no issues with the gearbox. As it’s done this amount of miles, do you think it is worth draining the old oil and replacing with new?
I have looked in the service booklet, there’s no information as to the type of oil and quantity.
Any recommendations please.

Definitely replace it. It should be done every five years or 37,500.

All fluids break down with the passing of time (heat / cold cycles) and mileage and driving style can cause heavy wear. There’s bound to be at least some metal or filings contamination in it over that time.
