Toyota auris excel headlight used installation help

Hello everyone,

I own a toyota auris hybrid excel 65plate. When I got the car the front passenger side headlight was cracked and water got in and stopped working. The dashboard came up with a warning saying take it to dealer headlight malfunction. Now I have replaced it with a used valeo light and it's working now, however it keeps coming up with the warning saying take it to dealer. Does the headlight have to be reprogrammed if so how. If not what could be the issue because the headlight was practically brand new so I don't know what could of gone wrong. Could it be a fuse? If anyone has the knowledge or send me a to a website with that knowledge I would be greatful thanks. It's this model light https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/404060797755?mkcid=16&mkevt=1&mkrid=711-127632-2357-0&ssspo=snddwnonswe&sssrc=4429486&ssuid=8XXEdyodRWi&var=&widget_ver=artemis&media=COPY

Hi,

It could be that you need clear the faulty with a obd2 scanner or disconnect the 12v Battery for 10-15min?

I'm sure someone with more experience with hybrid cars will come along and correct me.

regards

All fixed now, it took the car a couple of miles to recognise the car light had been changed
