Some improvements for Aygo II

Hello everyone!

I'm excited to share my recent experience with upgrading both the interior and exterior of my 2016 Aygo II model.

Phone Holder Installation:
To enhance my driving experience, I installed the Macally MCUP2XL phone holder in the cabin. This makes it incredibly convenient for me to use Google Maps on my Aygo II 2016. Unfortunately, my Multimedia 86140-0H020 doesn't support Apple CarPlay, which can be a bit inconvenient.

Armrest Addition:
Another improvement I made was adding an armrest between the front seats. This small addition has significantly increased driving comfort, providing a convenient place to rest my elbow and a handy compartment for small items.

Rear Lights Upgrade:
I also replaced the stock rear lights with the rear lights from the 2021 Aygo II model.

Overall, these updates have greatly improved my driving experience. I'm curious to know if anyone else has made similar modifications or if you have any recommendations. Share your thoughts and experiences—I'd love to hear them!

I did the armrest and rear lights on my daughters 2014 Aygo years ago, well worth it.  I also changed the gear knob, gearstick surround and infotainment system surround to white to match the car colour, it brightened up the inside cabin area a lot.  I used all genuine new Toyota parts.  I also upgraded her infotainment system from the two button one to the three button one, so she had Apple Carplay and Android Auto.

She was more than happy with these upgrades.

• Where did you source the Armrest from?

• Which phone holder is this, where from?

• How easy was it to fit the rear lights upgrade?

I'd love to do the rear AND front lights on my Aygo.

I bought this armrest ArmSter S Toyota AYGO 2014 (V00796) in the Ukrainian online store.

The Macally MCUP2XL model of the phone holder. Bought this Macally MCUP2XL phone holder in the Amazon online store.

There is nothing difficult with replacing tail lights. This can be done right in the yard of the house. It took me a total of a little over an hour to replace the lights.

Apparently it's a very easy bolt off, plug in and bolt on job .

PS: unrelated comment.  The pop up overlay adverts on this website are really getting on my nerves !!

We celebrate Christmas 🎊 and change the standard halogen lamps to LED lamps in the front and rear headlights. 😉
