Yaris Cross windscreen cracked after stone/grit hitting scre

Can anyone help/advise. I have had 2 x Yaris Cross windscreen cracking after a small stone or grit hitting the screen. This is unusual that the screens seems to crack so easily.  Has anyone else had this issue. Is it a design fault or a poor quality screen problem.

Well, this is very annoying but often happens. Me almost every year have to deal with these problems and my car look like been done with a shotgun all over, all from these little stones from the roads.
