Creaking sound from clutch pedal Toyota avensis t27

Hi guys

My clutch pedal on my Toyota avensis t27 is creaking and it's driving my crazy. I've tried to lubricate it with wd40 and multi purpose grease but the problem still persists! I have uploaded a video for you to hear, how can I fix it? Anyone have any idea? https://drive.google.com/file/d/1MA72Z0v6gMBOQCrkpsBxdGTuuILYQNt-/view?usp=drives dk

The sound comes when I release my foot from the pedal, not when I press it down. When I wiggle the pedal left and right the sound comes. Any help please?

i have the same problem tbh only slight

Glad I'm not the only one with the problem. Although I think it's only "cosmetic" issue and does not affect the clutch I would really like to know how to fix it! 🤯

me 2 tbh i was going to spray in white silicone grease in around it but didnt want to dirty up a area and cause more problems if the squeak was not coming from that area tbh i never look at mine to find out where was coming from just never got around to it

Well I can save you some time and tell you that neither grease or wd40 solved the issue 😅 it's a pain in the ***** getting down there (my back is still aching haha)

I guess it's something with the master cylinder, rust somewhere hard to grease or oil.

It's also worth mentioning that I did not have this issue during the summer. It was when winter arrived that the issue appeared. Maybe moisture makes the problem worse.

I had a funny feeling was coming from further in on the clutch as it's really hard to pinpoint where it's coming from that's why and the tight area I have never bothered trying 2 fix it .with my car the noise is not that bad not sure if the lack of use causes this or what .

That might be the case, also started noting that the sound only comes when I'm putting in reverse and backing the car. Very odd. If I'm changing gear while driving there's no sound
