Having just acquired a 2023  Excel Corolla 2L hybrid i have decided to sit down  down and attempt make sense of the manual but one or two things baffle me but the number one annoyance is the HUD display adjustment instructions.. In order to see the HUD  properly i have to move forward and sit perfectly upright up on the driver seat and peer over the steering wheel to catch site of it. No amount of seat adjustment solves this problem (i am 5'9 in stature) The HUD  display consists of a one liner sitting at the bottom of this invisible square projection. My  old HUD was in the middle of that square and consisted of several lines of data in the middle and was clearly visible no matter how I changed my seat position. The current manual clearly states that the HUD can be adjusted and claims this is found in the settings menu on the display screen which it clearly is not. Now the manual supplied with the vehicle seems to be entitled Corolla ST 2l Hybrid which obviously relates to the estate version however there are bits of instructions relating to the Excell contained therein. The Index in the manual makes no sense and is difficult to follow and the dealer is as baffled as I  am and wants ne to call into the workshop next week however he is 45 mins away  depending on the traffic.

Any suggestions gratefully accepted.

Not sure if it's different in the earlier Corolla, but in my Yaris the settings for moving the HUD around are in the dashboard MFD; I have to use the steering wheel controls to scroll to Settings, then along to HUD

The controls are in the dashboard display.

Press 'OK' on the steering wheel to open the settings menu, then you have to give it a long press to enter the HUD settings (after selecting the HUD settings...).

In order to adjust everything you need to be stationary, some options will grey out if you're moving.

(I can take some pictures if that doesn't get you where you want)

Thanks guys managed to get the menu up on the dash display but no amount  of monkeying around can i get anything relating to the HUD. All the options that come up involve a tick box operation where you can enable or disable certain functionalities but no mention of HUD anywhere. No more hair left on my bonce so looking for a hair restorer perhaps try MANE but sounds distinctly dodgy to me ?

Some pictures of the HUD settings menus & where they appear on my dash. The OK button is the one in the middle of the D pad on the left side of the steering wheel.

If these menus aren't showing up for you, but the HUD is working it sounds like you may have to visit a dealership for further investigation 😒

Whilst we're talking HUDs on the MY23 you might want to know that it doesn't show the hybrid system indicator/tachometer, despite the handbook apparently saying that it does.
