Hello all.  I've  been questioning and getting advice from Don on my other post concerning connecting my ipod.

Still worrying about this but I thought I'd  post separately about the Motorola  MA1.  Anyone using this successfully?  I'm  particularly  interested to know if you can use it via a port in the arm rest leaving the sole data port free.

Sorry if this has been thrashed around elsewhere on here but an in armrest port  solution  would help me a lot.

Thank, Russ

Hi Russ, I'm afraid that won't work. The dongle needs a data connection to the car head unit - so you'll have to use the dashboard socket.

If you're only concerned about where the dongle is going it's quite easy to tuck it, and the cable, behind trim. With a right angled connector that is quite discreet and shouldn't get it the way.

If it's because you want to have something else connected to the car via usb whilst you're using the dongle for wireless AA I'm afraid you're out of luck.

Thanks Don.  All bit disappointing really  but we are where we are  as people  keep saying.   I'll  probably go for the the  MA1 and try to connect  my ipod via bluetooth

Thanks again and watch this space.....
