Plan to fit a new Battery to my car. Will it affect the Radio (code?) or anything else or is it just a simple swap over. Any recommendations to buy from ? Thanks

No radio code.

Simple swap over.

On Aygo MK1, there are only:

  • 1 x 12mm bolt for the Battery held down.
  • 2 x 10mm nut at the Battery terminal.

MK2 will probably be the same.

Car may stall on the first engine start-up.  (Mine does that every time I disconnect the battery)  After that, the car will run without any problem.

063 or 002 size Battery. Just use a lookup tool from one of the Battery suppliers.

No security code to worry about. I believe it will lose settings (radio stations etc.). No major problems otherwise.

As above, worth looking at going bigger Battery, 063 is a good shout, I fitted one to our Mk1 few years ago, going 063 means more choice (even silver types), so better prices and more CCA and Battery tray even designed for bigger Battery so fitted perfectly. Our MK2 108 battery tray is similar so when time comes will probably do the same.
