2017 Yaris iA, ~32000mi, A/T slow shifting, slight revving

The subject line pretty much says it.

The other night, I had a 12-hour long night of Uber rides bookended by a 2-hour commute on either end, for a total of 16 hours. I would guess the vehicle was turned off at irregular intervals for a rough total of three hours. I haven't checked my gas receipts yet, but I think the work shift/commute was about 600 miles total.

On the way home, I noticed the transmission was slightly sluggish in shifting, with slight revving ahead of a shift. I do not use the accelerator pedal unless absolutely necessary, preferring instead to let the cruise control do my accelerating for me. It seems to do a more consistent job, and I imagine synchs up with the transmission better than I can with my foot.

I know this is not the sort of thing that most would consider a huge worry, but I want to keep this vehicle in as close to new condition as possible for as long as possible, so if this points to any special point of knowledge about this particular transmission and how to keep it safe from permanent damage, I would appreciate that knowledge!

Also, this long night of Uber rides is something I expect to be doing at least three times a week. The commute may occur each time, or perhaps only at the beginning and end of the three-day block.

check the gearbox and fluid colour, scan it for codes and see if you have any freeze frame data for any codes stored

IIRC, the Yaris iA is a Badge engineered Mazda 2 sedan sold from 2014 in some markets, replacing the mk2 based 4 door.

The US market did get the Mk3 either French or Canadian built up to mid 2019 (Yaris hatch), from 2019 Yaris hatch was the rebadged Mazda 2 that was killed off mid/late 2020

the sedan from mid 2015 was based on the Mazda 2 saloon rebranded as the Yaris Ai for 2016-2018 then changed to the Toyota Yaris sedan

Yes, it does get even more complex
